Present TenseIn the series called Present Tense I play with the sensation of color and the materiality of paint by painting on the reverse side of the canvas. The color is glowing behind the canvas and coming through it in places. The glow of color is immaterial, but tiny drops of paint that come through are concrete. These works address presence, by contrasting the sensation of color and the materiality of paint.
